SS-16X DOD High-Security Paper & Optical Media Shredder

The SS-16X is a high-security optical media shredder that is approved for top-secret classified destruction of all paper and optical media including:

• DVDs
• Blu-ray

It has been evaluated by NSA and is listed on both the NSA/CSS Evaluated Products Lists for Paper and for Optical Destruction Devices and it has an NSA/CSS Performance Test Rating of High Volume. It is NSA Approved for the lifetime of the shredder.

The SS-16X media shredder is equipped with Dual Feed Openings and Two Separate Waste Bins, one for Paper and one for Optical Media. It destroys classified documents to Security Level P-7 in 1mm x 5mm particles.

A dual-head cutting system for Optical Media destroys to Security Level O-6 with a shred size less than 2mm x 2mm.

The All-Metal Drive System with Solid Steel Cutters, Heavy-Duty Gearing, and Chain Drive provides high performance and long life.

Also features Auto Start/Stop operation and Auto Reverse anti-jamming control. This multi-media shredder includes an easy-to-use LED Control Panel with illuminated indicators for standby, waste bin full, door open, and paper jam.

This government approved media shredder includes an Automatic Oiling System to lubricate cutting blades for optimal performance, Safety Switches to ensure safe operation, and Thermal Overload Protection. An energy-saving feature puts this high-security paper shredder into standby after 5 minutes of inactivity.
