The SS-16D is a Heavy-Duty High Security Paper and Optical Media Shredder and has been precision engineered to meet the high security shredding needs of Military and Government agencies. This high-volume departmental shredder is ideal for the destruction of Top-Secret and Classified information stored on Paper and CDs, it has been evaluated by NSA and is listed on the NSA/CSS Evaluated Products Lists. The SS-16D has an NSA/CSS Performance Test Rating of High Volume. Security Level ISO/IEC 21964 (DIN 66399): P-7, O-5
The SS-16D is equipped with Dual Feed Openings. Shreds Paper up to 15 sheets per pass and destroys Optical Media at rates of up to 2000 Discs per hour. The Solid Steel Cutters are heat treated and individually ground for longevity. A powerful and efficient Chain Driven Continuous Duty Motor with Heavy Duty Steel Gears makes for high performance and minimal noise. The All-Metal Drive System uses no internal nylon or plastic gears as is common in lower quality shredders. Rubber shock mounts suspend the cutting head and reduce vibration.
An Automatic Oiler provides continuous lubrication of the cutting cylinders, and a Self-Cleaning Mode ensures optimal performance. Also features a LED Control Panel with load indicator, Auto Start/Stop operation, Door Safety and Bag Full Sensors, and an Auto Reverse Anti-Jamming Control. Housed in an All-Steel Cabinet on casters and includes a Large Waste Bin for high volume shredding. TAA Compliant.

- Freight (LTL): Larger office and industrial shredders ship via motor freight.

2. Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. Territories
We frequently ship our equipment to Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and Puerto Rico. Because these locations require ocean or air transit, they fall outside of standard domestic rates.
