Capital Shredder offers a range of DoD- and NSA-approved, high-security shredders in compliance with NSA/CSS Specification 02-01. This regulation became mandatory on 1 October 2003. It requires that all DoD-approved shredders meet exacting standards for maximum particle area and dimensions, as well as tough new standards for durability. 

These NSA-approved shredders are engineered to meet the most stringent security demands of the National Security Agency, Department of Defense, NATO, and other government, military, and commercial organizations worldwide. The crosscut action and small residue of the level 6 high-security paper shredder provides a reliable method of disposing of classified material. Classified document shredders may handle anything labeled as Top Secret, COMSEC, INFOSEC, CRYPTOLOGIC.
